Analysis of data from the ORBIT-AF patient registry found that patients with CKD and AF have higher CHA2DS2VASc scores than patients with AF. Patients with CKD and AF are less likely to receive an antiarrhythmic agent. Rate control is used as an AF management strategy in patients with moderate to severe CKD and AF more frequently than in patients with AF without CKD. ATRIA scores tend to be higher in patients with CKD and AF than in patients with AF.
