The brain MRI protocol includes FLAIR imaging. MRI is used to diagnose and monitor MS.

STIR or phase-sensitive inversion recovery is more sensitive for MS lesions on spine MRI, but it is less sensitive in the brain.

CT scan and Doppler imaging are not the imaging modalities of choice for MS.
