Tardive tremors are rhythmic (as opposed to irregular TD movements) and usually present at rest and with voluntary movement. This is distinct from cerebellar tremors, which are present with voluntary motion but not at rest. In addition, unlike psychogenic tremors, tardive tremors are persistent and do not diminish during the course of long physical examinations.
