Differentiating between pain associated with breast cancer bone metastasis and pain attributable to other causes can be difficult. Symptoms of bone metastases may include:

  • Sudden-onset severe pain

  • Fractures

  • Pain in the neck and/or back

  • Numbness or weakness

  • Difficulty passing urine

  • Constipation

  • Fatigue

  • Nausea

  • Loss of appetite/dehydration

  • High calcium levels in the blood caused by bone breakdown
