Clinical Trend of the Week (January 14-20): Breast Augmentation
Approval of a new product from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) resulted in this week's top search. The FDA approved the Natrelle Inspira SoftTouch (Allergan Plc) breast implant, which is a medium firmness cohesive silicone gel implant. The implants are approved for breast reconstruction, revision surgery to correct or improve previous breast surgery, and breast augmentation. With the winter season a popular time to consider plastic surgery, this new approval helped further drive the popularity of this week's top term.
