Each month, a term trends for no clear reason. Last month’s “mystery term” was “thrombosed hemorrhoid.” Dr. Jeanette Cloutier suggested that the term may have trended due to seasonal conditions, with summer months resulting in higher dehydration and subsequent constipation.
