Summer months are associated with increased outdoor activity, such as kayaking, climbing, or sports. Tendonitis is a common inflammatory condition that can occur at any number of sites used in motions associated with vigorous activity. This term likely increased in popularity as a result of physicians treating more patients taking advantage of the warm temperatures and battling nagging injuries.
