#8 Clinical Trend: Refeeding Syndrome

This week, interest in a new study regarding the treatment of patients with anorexia nervosa drove physician searches. An analysis of refeeding and weight restoration is challenging current guidelines. The study found that rapidly refeeding patients with anorexia nervosa is safer than previously recognized and would allow for weight to be restored without experiencing the metabolic disturbance known as refeeding syndrome.
