Schedule I substances have no accepted medical use in the United States and have a high abuse potential. They cannot be prescribed. Schedule I stimulants include the following:

  • Aminoxaphen/aminorex

  • Cathinone

  • Fenethylline

  • Methcathinone

  • Mephedrone

  • Methylaminorex

  • Amphetamine variants (eg, 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine [MDMA], N-ethylamphetamine, N,N-dimethylamphetamine)
